Canoeing
Canoeing is usually in open boats often 2 people sitting or kneeling each using a single paddle.The person at the back steers. This has been a very popular activity with the Club, members have arranged events ranging from day trips on the Dart, Teign, Avon & Tamar to evening trips on the Dart and 3 day trips on the River Wye. There is also the more challenging experiences of white water.
Kayaking
Kayaking is in single person kayaks, sitting using a double ended paddle, it sits lower in the water and is protected by a spray sheet.. Many river kayaking trips and sea kayaking events have been arranged at various locations, it is a great way to get close to the wildlife.
Coasteering
This is all about exploring the coastline while having fun, taking the plunge by scrambling , climbing and jumping into the sea.

This is easier to learn than some water sports. It involves standing on a long board using a paddle to move and steer .
