The government has published its roadmap for coming out of lockdown. We still need to be patient for a while yet, but from 29th March we will be able to meet outside in groups of 6. The critical points early on are:
8 March: Two people from different households can meet outside for recreation, which can include "a coffee on a bench"
29 March: People can meet outside, either with one other household or within the "rule of six", including in private gardens
The stay at home rule will end but people should stay local as much as possible
Outdoor sport facilities will reopen, including golf courses and tennis and basketball courts
Formally organised outdoor sports can also restart
During this early period from 29 March we may be able to organise some walks with up to 6 people - maybe even some structured events like kayaking. Being mindful of the "Stay local" rule, we may need to have several in different parts of the county.
We are always on the lookout for activities that would interest you. A number of suggestions and posts get put on our closed Facebook Group ("Friends of Womens Challenge Club") page. Committee members are looking to organise a few things, but it is also up to the membership to offer to organise an event, with the backup and help of Liz, our Activities Co-ordinator. If there is something you fancy, please put up your hand to eventually "host" the event, Liz will guide you!
We can't wait to get started again, let us know what you're thinking!!
