Coronavirus Covid-19 Update - Lockdown Easting

The WCC Committee is beginning to look at how and when to resume our activities. Social distancing still needs to be maintained, but over the next weeks we may be able to get back to some activities where distancing can be maintained.  A Kayaking day has been put on the Calendar in September and we are actively looking at other events to book. We look forward to getting together for some exciting and fun activities when it is safe to do so!

A large number of suggestions and posts have been put on our closed Facebook Group ("Friends of Womens Challenge Club") page, ranging from water sports to horse-riding, climbing & hiking. Committee members are looking to organise a few things, but it is also up to the membership to offer to organise an event, with the backup and help of Liz, our Activities Co-ordinator. If there is something you fancy, please put up your hand to "host" the event, which usually just means contacting the Instructing or Event provider and arranging a date to put on the Events Calendar. Liz can send out a bulk email to advertise and generate interest in the event.

Here is an example of a few that Helen, our Treasurer,  has put up there to whet your appetite: Kayaking or paddle-boarding with Reach Outdoors, or Navigation/Orienteering, hiking with Crag 2 Mountain. What else would appeal to you?

In the meantime, we'll keep you posted, and look after yourselves and others!
