We hope that this page answers some of those other questions which you might have about the Club, that are not on the website, but please don't hesitate to use the contact form if we have not covered all the things you might like to know.

Q.  How does it all work? 

A.         Become a member, look at the Calendar, select an activity and contact the organiser. Further details at About.

Q.  Where is the Club based?

A.         We don’t have a base, our members come from Devon, and we do activities across the area.

Q.  Do you cater for beginners?

A.   Most of our activities are suitable for beginners, but it can depend on the activity – you will be advised by the organiser.

Q.  How do I get to an activity?

A.         We encourage car sharing where possible, and the organiser will let you know who is attending before the day. Please offer a contribution towards fuel costs to the driver.

Q.  What clothes do I wear, or equipment do I need for the activities?

A.         For each activity the organiser will advise on appropriate clothing. We use providers who will supply specialist equipment.

Q.  What happens if the weather is bad?

A.   If the activity is weather dependent - the organiser will keep you informed.

Q.  How do I contact the organiser of an activity?

A.         Each organiser’s contact details are on the website on the Calendar. Please use their email to contact them, and not via social media. If you have booked and paid for an activity and can’t attend, please see How to book on an event

Q. I'm a Club Member, can I book spaces on activities for my friends who are not members to attend with me?

A.         We offer the opportunity for non-members (who are considering joining the Club) to book onto one instructed activity and one social activity as taster sessions before they join. Our insurance policy specifically allows this. Unfortunately, our insurance does not allow us to accommodate non-members or guests who are not intending to join the Club.

Q.  If I would like to give feedback on an activity, who do I contact?

A.         We welcome feedback on our activities, either directly to the event organiser or to one or our Activity Coordinators - Fiona Arnold or Liz Williams

Q.  How do I know if an activity is going to appeal to members?

A.               Contact Fiona Arnold or Liz Williams – they can advise you on whether it is a good idea.

Q.  If I have ideas on how to make the club even better who do I contact?

A.         Any Committee member would be delighted to hear any ideas you have, contact details Club Information

Q.        How can I access Women’s Challenge Club on Facebook? 

A.         Facebook is optional, not all our members use social media. Our Facebook page is only accessible to current members. If you already have a Facebook account, you can request access via Debbie Carr

Q. Can I bring my dog with me to Women's Challenge Club Activities and Events?

A.         For some of our activities, predominantly walks, it may be possible for you to bring your dog. Please check with the activity organiser before taking a dog on any activity / social event. We do reserve the right not to allow dogs on any activities. The activity organiser and/or activity leader (who are responsible for the safety of the participants) may request the removal of the dog from the activity if it is causing a nuisance, and, of course, please pick up after your dog.
